Established in 1963, Cub Scout Pack 81 has been serving the community for over 60 years - one of Chelmsford's longest-serving Scouting units.
We are a Family Pack, encouraging anyone to join (boys and girls). Although we primarily serve the South Row Elementary School and Chelmsford Middle School community, we have families that attend nearby Aldersgate Church from Chelmsford and neighboring towns. Pack 81 has dens serving kindergarten through fifth grade. Interested families may join at any time of the year.
We are currently about 30 Cub Scouts strong, and growing! Pack meetings are typically the third Friday of the month @ Aldersgate Church in Chelmsford next to South Row Elementary School. Stop on by!
We enjoy campouts in the Fall and Spring, our annual Pinewood Derby, special overnight adventures, regular Pack hikes, Blue and Gold celebration (a special one in 2023 to celebrate 60 years), and numerous Pack and Den activities. Our Spring campout is held at BSA camp (Camp Sayre in Milton, or Camp Carpenter in Manchester NH). The Cubs enjoy camping in tents, various activities, cooking over a fire. eating s'mores, and having a fun campfire program.
The Pack serves the community through annual Veteran's rake-outs and various conservation activities at different times through the year. Check out some of our recent activities on Facebook on the "Cub Scout Pack 81 Chelmsford" page.
